Borderlines Film Festival 2016 Back

Mar 13, 2016

The UK’s biggest rural film festival, and now sixth-biggest overall. Spread across 17 days from 26 February to 13 March, Borderlines.
With 221 screenings of 97 different films at 25 venues across Herefordshire, Shropshire and the Marches. Kicking off with Bolshoi Babylon, a new documentary about a dramatic scandal at the Russian ballet company, the 2016 festival took in a host of film previews, special events, a round-up of current world cinema and strands dedicated to Romani cinema, Andrei Tarkovsky and British filmmaking past and present.

This 100-seater mobile cinema, recently acquired by Picturehouse, is an impressive 55ft long, 36 ton articulated lorry, which, within an hour of parking up, transforms miraculously into a comfortable, air conditioned cinema auditorium, with full digital projection facilities for patrons to enjoy their cinema viewing in total comfort.
